Lenses for mFT-cameras...

Pinholes

The most simple and classic objectives...You can't blame the glass, because there is none - except the protective filter in some cases. F-stops being tiny or even smaller, everything is in focus - more or less. Usually not for hand held shots. Used usually for artistic landscapes and other experimental works. If you want to find a new approach for photography, this may do the trick - and not cost too much.

PS. There may be also other manufacturers for pinhole lenses... And you can also do one yourself by using a bodycap, Just make a search how to...

Fisheyes

Street view from Crete. From older machines:

Another different way to shoot. First designed for scientific and architectural photography these lenses were soon adopted  to experimental and artistic photography. Now, the virtual reality workflow is becoming a new area for these special lenses. The very first fisheyes were large, heavy, expensive and rare. Now we have Lensbabies, Samyangs and Body Cap lenses...

I'm not sure if the image circle of some full circle fisheyes mentioned here (Lensaby, Yasuhara) is small enough for mFT-sensor. If it is, the image will be a full round circle in the middle of the frame. If not, the circle is more or less cut from the top and bottom, like in the Entaniya 250 MFT 3.6 lens. The other Entaniya's are full circle, but have some restrictions with the camera bodies they can be fitted to. On the other hand, people interested in circular fisheyes could also take a look at Sigma 4.5mm f/2.8 CFE - it is not available with mFT- mount (as far as I know), but various mounts can be adapted to mFT.

The "full frame" fisheyes work fine. They have the barrel distortion - other ways they were not fisheyes. Some have more, some less vignetting. Check the reviews, which one is for you. And when shooting, check your toes and fingers, if they are in the photo. With the 250deg lenses that can be hard to avoid...

The m.Zuiko 8mm f1.8 is a very interesting option for those who want a low light-lens... It's not the cheapest version anyway.

Discontinued models in red.
